“As the Father has sent me, so I now send you.” —John 20:21
Religious Education underpins all aspects of school life at St Charbel's College informing, directing and guiding decisions and actions for the betterment of all individuals entrusted to our care. Maintaining the relevance of religion in the lives of our youth in an increasingly secularised Australia, is becoming ever more challenging. St Charbel's College educators see it as their duty to promote the values of the Gospel and to teach the word of the Lord.
Parents are significant partners in the educative process and play a seminal role as primary educators of the faith for their children. We aim to collaborate with our parents in the process of faith formation by creating enriching and supporting relationships. We endeavour to continue to forge increasingly strong relationships with our parent bodys through various spiritual events held throughout the course of the year including Father and Son Evening, Parent Catechesis, and the Family Prayer Packs. One of our great strengths lies in our investment in our teaching staff who undergo ongoing professional learning in Religious Education and positive witness to the faith that students are inspired to embrace and proclaim Maronite Catholic teachings.
It is by means of ongoing professional learning in Religious Education and positive witness to the faith that students are inspired to embrace and proclaim Maronite Catholic teachings.
At St Charbel’s College, it is our primary mission to support our students in their spiritual journey in becoming people who understand the importance of both faith and reason by exploring the mysteries of the Maronite Catholic faith. In doing so, it is our hope that our students will develop an awareness and appreciation of the unique dignity of the human person.
